Christmas is coming!!!

Susan's sister, Merilee is here until after Christmas so the kids are a little more excited than usual, or maybe it's not Merilee, it's the stack of presents under the tree! In spite of their anticipation of Christmas, the kids are all bogged down with colds this week. Cameron woke up multiple times last night (so guess who else woke up multiple times...) and Melodie is continuing to wake up 2-3 times a night. Susan and I are tired and ready for healthy kids who sleep all night!

The choir at church has practiced a few times and will be going to the local nursing home friday morning for our first "concert". I asked Mr. Sakamoto and Mrs. Yamamoto to give a short testimony at the nursing home. Mrs. Yamamoto almost had a stroke! I said, "Is that OK?" She said , "No!, my heart is stopping!" I think she must be nervous? I told her she would be excused if she died before friday.

I spent most of Monday with Ryouji in Kagoshima. He bought "The Cross" by Max Lucado and I gave him a copy of "Ultimate Questions" and the book "More than a Carpenter" by Josh McDowell. Ryouji is still very interested in Christianity but hasn't managed to put all the pieces together yet. His new job insures that he will be working almost every Sunday so his opportunities for conversation with Christians is limited to the once or twice a month we get together.
