JR Girls Camp now in the past...
Susan spoke every morning at Jr Girls Camp while I was stuck with...I mean enjoying time with the kids! : - )
I did have the afternoon off so I played disc golf every day, yea!
We have one more week of VBS before a break in July. Although every Sunday is scheduled, having some time at home during the week will be great!
Good news from Japan, my friend Ryouji made a profession of faith in Christ this week! I can't wait to get back to Japan and hear from him myself!
In the Middle of VBS!!!
After 2 weeks of VBS, at First Baptist in Creston, IA and Berean Baptist in Pella, IA; we are still looking at 2 more weeks of ministry before we get a short break! We will be at camp in Clear Lake, IA for Jr. Girls camp and then another week of VBS in Waterloo, IA at Hagerman Baptist. I think the family is starting to wear down as everyone has been under the weather in the past week. Cameron and Melodie have had and especially difficult time adjusting to the constant travel and new people.
We have a busy summer still ahead of us with a week in PA for the ABWE conference as well as another VBS and Camp in August. Although we are enjoying the time visiting with supporting churches it is very tiring, we are really starting to look forward to returning to Japan!
Vacation Time! . . . NOT!
Although furlough is supposed to be something of a break and time to visit family, we haven't found much rest in it yet. I intended to keep up better with communication and our website but it has been relegated to something I think about occasionally as we drive past a rest area with the sign for wireless internet access.
We start our busiest month now with VBS and Camp taking up every week in June. July is almost the same with VBS and the ABWE annual conference. So, if you email us and wonder where the reply is, we will get to it ASAP! Have patience...
Chloe, Cameron and Melodie are adjusting well to life in the US. Chloe lost her first tooth, Cameron is tormenting everyone, and Melodie is learning to walk on her own.
Susan is looking at one of her busiest summers as she speaks much more than normal, she is really nervous about speaking at Jr Girls Camp!
I am as mean as ever and can't wait to return to Japan!
gotta run, the road calls...
