Turning colder in IA...

... and that means fall is on the way with winter weather close behind! We are gearing up for a few missions conferences in October and for our return to Japan in January. Chloe and Cameron have even starting asking when we will be going back to Japan recently. After our summer of travel everyone is ready to go "home", just as soon as we locate one when we return to Japan!

We do have quite a bit more traveling to do before then, however. And we will be able to spend some time with family this winter before leaving. The kids are really excited about seeing their grandparents again.

Personally, I have had a big emotional letdown after the busy summer. I am trying to get back on an exercise program and find some sort of routine to help me get the things done that I need to do before leaving for Japan. I am tired just thinking about it!

Looking to the future...

Well, with the summer behind us we are starting to look toward the fall and then on towards January, when we hope to move back to Japan. The fall is a continued full schedule with several missions conferences in October and November. After changing our ho0me base from IA to WI for the fall, we plan to travel to AL in December and remain there until we leave for Japan in late January.

As part of our thinking about the future and getting back to Japan, plans are underway for GRIT 2008! There are already 7-8 students who have said they will be there and many more who have expressed and interest. I am exhausted just thinking about all the work that needs to be done before next summer!
