Furlough ends with a bang!
We finish our first furlough and return to Japan next week, Feb 15th! In the meantime, we still have a few things to do... There is still a bit of packing and getting things shipped to Japan, but that is almost completed. The big thing on our schedule is a missions conference starting Sunday Feb 10th and running through the 13th. That will leave us a whole day (assuming we make it home before midnight on the 13th) to get our final packing finished and get ready to hop on a plane for Japan bright and early on the 15th! No Problem! (ducks as Susan swings for head with big stick)We have tried to visit family members in the past few weeks. It is hard to say goodbye to my grandparents. They are all sure that they will not live to see us again. One of the few things that I feel is a real sacrifice is the fact that my children are growing up without knowing most of their family very well.
I am hoping that we have internet access over the next few weeks as we return to Japan and look for a house but I am not overly optimistic that it will be any more regular than I have now. Driving 40 min to check email is not my idea of fun. I will update as often as possible and will update the website as soon as we are settled.
Until next time...
